Bobbie Jean Hudson, 85, died peacefully at home in Hartford, Alabama, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. She was born on February 21, 1941, to the late Ralph and Eunice Sexton Kelley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Hudson and a sibling.

Bobbie is survived by her three sons, George R. Oswald, David M. Oswald, and Charles A. Oswald; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two siblings.

Bobbie was a wonderful mother who loved cooking for her family and gathering everyone together. Having her family around brought her great happiness. She also enjoyed working in her yard, keeping her garden beautiful and her lawn neatly mowed. She often spoke fondly of the work she did in the construction business with her husband, John. Bobbie was never afraid to try something new if she wanted to do it. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Bethel Baptist Church in Hartford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with Shelby Lett of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until the service.
